Encouraging Imagination

The Coastal Carolina Artists & Crafters Guild Inc will promote arts and crafts in Onslow County, and its surrounding areas. The CCAC Guild will accomplish this through education, social functions and events where artists are given a platform to exchange ideas, show their work, and market their craft.

Festival of Trees

Festival of Trees takes place the weekend before Thanksgiving 2014. The CCAC Guild Inc will have a tree in our booth area to decorate, and one in the booth space next to us: Friends of Animal Services- with ornaments like jazzed up stuffed cats and dogs - Diva blinged up pets.

Gretchen Mitchell will decorate the entrance tree-- New River Pottery owner, extremely talented and beautiful lady -- one of our volunteers will assist her with putting decorations on her tree.

This year the Guild's tree theme is : I'll be home for Christmas. Nadine Miller and Zoe Crane are conducting crafting workshops at the senior center twice a month where Seniors can come in a make ornaments. The seniors are happy to be able to craft and we are getting ornaments for our tree. Caregivers and Hospice conducts this event and everything we put on the trees is a donation to them. Our decorated trees will be auctioned off in their silent auction - they keep the money, the top bidder gets the tree and all decorations.

Featured Artist of the Month

June 2014

Liz Johnson

Liz Johnson has mastered the art of the practical, functional, and attractive items she creates with her color selections which covers the spectrum in home decor. She gave the secret to a successful show in Jacksonville (we all have our own definition of 'successful') - hers is finding the one product she can make quickly, have plenty in stock and have customers coming back for more.

She introduces a new item and offers them in different sizes and keeps her prices affordable to the Jacksonville market. Liz even received an order request at the meeting Tuesday night. Good Job, Liz!

Donate items to CCACG!
